Alive Learning Forum - join us!

The Alive Learning Forum is an open network and event series that provides a space for discussion and learning for everyone developing or interested in living evidence partnerships.

Forum members from across a range of sectors, topics, and geographies come together with a shared commitment to better decisions for a better world.

Everyone is welcome.

The Alive Learning Forum is driven by the evidence community for the evidence community. At a time when the world needs evidence more than ever, there is nothing more important than collaborative learning for collaborative solutions.

Sessions are offered at different times and in various languages to allow members to participate wherever they are based in the world. All our sessions are live translated to ensure everyone can listen in.

Our next session

Collaboration and evidence partnerships across Latin America and the Caribbean
The Alive Learning Forum is thrilled to bring you a special session in Spanish, featuring two incredible voices from Latin America.

Jessica Farias, Network Coordinator at the Evidence Hub of Latin America and the Caribbean (HubLAC) and Pamela Velásquez from the The Evidence and Deliberation for Decision-Making Unit (UNED) at the University of Antioquia in Colombia will share how their teams are shaping collaboration, strengthening learning, and building powerful Evidence Partnerships across the region.

Join us to explore how evidence grows stronger, together.

For non-Spanish speakers, this session will be live translated into other languages, so please do still come along.

When: 18 June, 2025 UTC, 9:00 Colombian time (UTC -5)
Where: Online. Register here

What types of sessions are there?

Alive Learning Forum sessions are developed and chaired by evidence leaders from across the world. Our team of co-chairs includes the fantastic evidence leaders Racha Fadlallah, Melissa Bond, Daniela Garcia Villamil, and Fred Dejonghe

The programme includes three types of activities:
  • Alive Learns: Peer-learning, formal training, and technical assistance clinics on methods and other elements of setting up and delivering Living Evidence Partnerships.
  • Alive Talks: An expert presents on a particular topic to prompt discussion about what living evidence can learn from parallel fields
  • Alive Discusses: A facilitated group discussion on a shared topic, problem or opportunity facing Forum members.

How can I get involved?

Please register to join the Alive Learning Forum.

Membership is free and open to any individual or organisation. Please share details of the Forum with anyone who may be interested in joining.

“We will all need to engage in learning and improvement cycles – in joined-up ways whenever possible – if we are going to achieve the vision of radically more timely, relevant and affordable evidence syntheses. I’d love to see the Alive Learning Forum be an ‘engine’ driving these cycles.”
John Lavis, Director of the McMaster Health Forum
